This has been widely covered by others but the Pre is not far from launch and it could be highly exciting.

It is also an example of huge corporate ambition at the brink of the precipice.

This should be interesting - and I hope Palm does well with it because they pretty-much singlehandedly introduced people to the world of personal technology devices which were bought not by companies but by folk themselves. This world is now infinitely more complex, productive and exciting but without their Palms many people aged 40+ would still not have engaged with digital address books, diaries or mobile apps.

And that means I would have less fun in my day job.
